Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account info: your name and email address, from Sign in with Apple, Google, or the email code you sign in with.
• Trip and event content: the trips, itineraries, notes, bookings, events, meal and drink plans, and similar details you create.
• Receipts and expenses: receipts you photograph or enter, the items on them, who paid, and who owes whom, so a group can split costs.
• Photos: photos you choose to upload to a trip or event, including their embedded date and GPS location (used to place the photo on your trip). Photos are stored as private files.
• Social and messaging content: your profile, and the comments, trip and event chats, and direct messages you send to other people in the app.
• Step counts (optional): only if you connect Apple Health, your daily step counts during a trip, shown on the trip’s steps leaderboard.
• Location (optional): if you allow location access, your phone’s location is used to find events near you and, if you turn on the Travel Assistant, to remind you when you are near a planned activity. It is sent only for that lookup and is not stored. The drive time on an event countdown is worked out on your phone.
• Device identifiers: the notification token for your device, so we can send you notifications you have turned on.
• Usage data: when you open the app, which pages you view, and the words you type into search, so we can see what is used and improve it.

The Apple TV app only reads your trips and photos in order to show them. It does not collect anything new.

How we use it

Only to provide and improve the app: to show your trips and events, place your photos on the map, split costs, send the notifications you have turned on, share a trip when you choose to, and power the optional AI features (trip suggestions, reading booking confirmations and receipts, drink ideas). We never use your data for advertising.

Uploaded photos are checked automatically for explicit content on our own servers before they are shown to other people. That check does not leave our servers.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that make the app work:

• Apple and Google, for sign-in and for delivering notifications.
• Cloudflare and Hetzner, for hosting and photo storage.
• Resend, to send sign-in codes and invitation emails.
• Anthropic, for the optional AI features. It receives only what that feature needs: the text you entered, or the receipt, booking or bottle photo you asked it to read.
• Google Places, MapTiler, OpenStreetMap and Open-Meteo, for place details, maps and weather. They receive the place names or coordinates being looked up, not your account.

We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone. Other people see your content only when you share it with them, invite them, or make a trip or event public.

Your choices and data deletion

You can delete any photo, trip, or event at any time, turn off location, Apple Health and notifications in your settings, and make your profile or trips private. You can also permanently delete your entire account and all associated data directly in the app: open your account settings and tap Delete Account, which takes effect immediately. If you prefer, email [email protected] and we will remove your account and data.

Security and retention

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on access-controlled infrastructure. We keep your data while your account is active and delete it on request as described above. Your location is not kept at all.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
